Bus Shelter Crew
On Monday 28th March 2011a plaque was unveiled in the Village Hall in memory of a Scarcroft man F/O C D Gough DFC of Bomber Command.
F/O Gough lost his life along with the rest of the crew on a raid over Leipzig in 1944. The plaque was unveiled by Mr Bernard Saunders the brother of the pilot on that mission. The Mayor of Wetherby attended along with representatives from The Royal British Legion and the Air Cadets.

A montage photograph of the crew is fixed alongside the plaque.
